Our CEO
Toby Volz – CEO/Owner
Toby is CEO of Woolly Bugger Solutions (WBS), a new Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, with its Headquarters in Colorado Springs, CO. He has spent the last 39 years of his professional career leading teams, building strong relationships, and achieving mission success. His career spans 21 years as a military space officer, leading and mentoring officers and airmen, executing space operational missions, leading space acquisition programs, and developing/executing national-level space policy. Following his military career, he spent 16 years as a Project Manager and then led large teams across multiple geographies and missions as a Senior Program Manager.
Toby is very excited about starting up a new business, focused on professional consulting services supporting the Military. Integrity, professionalism and service are his primary operating philosophies which means building his team with subject matter experts (SMEs) providing outstanding consulting services to their clients. He thoroughly enjoys supporting his team members, helping them grow both professionally and personally as they navigate their careers.
On a personal note, Toby has been married to Miss Patty Volz for 40 years. They have 3 children, Tyler 34, Katie 32, and Mitchell 25. They love camping, hiking, traveling, time with family and pickleball! Toby decided to create WBS following a planned 2-year vacation touring the US and Canada in their RV.
